QualitySleep is an independent editorial site covering sleep comfort, bedroom environment, sleep product reviews, nighttime routines, and breathing-related sleep habits. This page explains how content is created, reviewed, updated, and held to editorial standards.

Editorial mission

Our goal is to publish practical, honest, and well-researched content that helps readers improve their sleep environment and make informed product decisions — without hype, exaggerated claims, or conflicts of interest that compromise accuracy.

Content categories

QualitySleep publishes in four primary areas:

Authorship and review

All original content on QualitySleep is authored and reviewed by Joatan Cantanhede, founder and lead researcher. See the Author page for credentials and background. Content touching on health-adjacent topics is reviewed against current sleep research and medical guidance before publication.

Testing vs editorial analysis

We distinguish clearly between two types of content:

We never imply direct testing when only editorial analysis was used.

Product recommendation standards

A product is recommended on QualitySleep only when it meets evaluation criteria across comfort and wearability, effectiveness for its stated purpose, value relative to alternatives, compatibility with different sleep positions and preferences, and real-world durability.

We do not publish “best of” lists that include products failing these criteria just to fill a format quota.

Affiliate independence

Some pages contain affiliate links. Affiliate commissions support site operations. However, editorial conclusions are reached before monetization is considered. A higher-commission product does not receive better placement or more favorable coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Health and medical limits

QualitySleep is an editorial site, not a medical publisher. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Content related to breathing, sleep apnea, or health conditions carries explicit disclaimers and recommendations to consult a licensed professional. See our Medical Disclaimer.

Content update policy

We review and update content when a product is discontinued or significantly changed, when new research materially changes our editorial position, when reader feedback identifies a factual error, or when a regulatory update affects product safety guidance. Significant updates are noted with a revised “Last reviewed” date. Minor corrections do not require a date revision.

Corrections policy

If you believe a page contains a factual error, contact us at contact@qualitysleep.pro with the URL and the specific claim. We investigate all factual concerns and correct verified errors promptly. See our Corrections & Updates Policy.

Reader-first standard

If a piece of content is good for search rankings but bad for readers, it is not good enough to publish.
